Why
is your simulation important to the field of early childhood?
I
believe that my simulation is important to the field of early childhood
education because children can really develop and learn as they play. Now a day curriculum is very rigorous and
children all learn differently so if they were given the opportunity to choose
and play they would it would foster their learning, and development as well as
their social skills.
If
you were to conduct your simulation proposal, who would benefit?
If
I was to conduct my simulation proposal I believe that who would first benefit
would be the teachers as well as administrators that can change policies on how
to teach children. Once they see the
simulation and get a fully understanding that children will learn and develop
through play perhaps curriculum would change.
What
are some of the ways your perceptions of an early childhood professional have
been modified as a result of this course?
I believe that my perception has change because there is
so many pieces involved when conducting research and the challenges are great. It is important to know the hypothesis of the
research and understand what the variables are if they are independent or dependent. Also, it is important the research has a
design and how will the research collect and analyze the data. One other important piece when conducting
research is the investigating method one will use if either qualitative or quantitative
or if one will use a mixed method. Most importantly
who is your participants and who will the audience be. There are so many pieces of the puzzle that
must be considered when conducting research.
I
would like to thank Dr. Todd and my classmates for supporting me in every way
as I read their discussions and imparted their knowledge with me. Dr. Todd feedback supported me in making
things clearer to understand. It was a
challenging class however I feel very happy to have learned so much these past
8 weeks.
